NetEnt have provided a slot game that follows Conan the Barbarian as players join in the adventure in this Conan slot game.
Our Conan slot review was rather enjoyable to complete and we are sure that readers will have the same amount of fun we had when taking the reels for a spin.
Gameplay
Conan slot game is played on a six-reel, four-reel grid that has 24 paylines available for players to form winning combinations. However, this game also has the great ability to provide users with the chance to win from both sides of the grid with the introduction of the both ways pays mechanism.
Spins can be made from as little as €0.20, although those with bigger budgets can place up to €200 a spin should they wish. In addition, the Conan Free Play version at the top of this page could be a great way of testing out what the returns can be like for each different value used.
As is rather traditional with many of NetEnt’s games, there is a game panel at the bottom of the grid that allows players to customise their gameplay experience. Functions such as the ‘Autoplay’ and the ‘Quickspin’ buttons can each be found.
There are a number of different icons available in this Conan slot game, with things like animal coins that include the images of snakes, lions and falcons each representing the game’s low-value symbols. These are also followed by the grappling hooks, the swords and the helmets – essentially items that can be associated with barbarians.
The characters of the slot game are the most rewarding, although Conan is the most valuable as he provides players with 6x their money when six appear on a payline across the six reels available.
Feature Bonuses
One of the best things about this slot game is the number of Conan slot game bonuses that have been made available by NetEnt.
‘Tower Wilds’ may be the first of these bonuses to be triggered as these can appear on the first two reels. When activated, they will expand the icons to cover the reels – either fully or partially. These icons then have the power to replace each of the symbols found on the game’s paytable, except for the Scatter.
‘Mystery Symbols’ will be activated via the use of reels three and four. These icons will appear stacked or singularly and will transform into any icon that is found on the paytable. However, they do have their limitations as they are unable to turn into either a Scatter, a Tower Wild or the Battle Wild.
Should a fully stacked mystery symbol appear on either of the reels, then a ‘Mystery Multiplier’ will be triggered. These can range in values, with between 3x and 7x being the reward. If it falls on reels three and/or four, as well as the aforementioned ‘Tower Wild’ or a ‘Battle Wild’, then the ‘Thoth Amon’ feature will be triggered. In this feature, players will be awarded with between three and six mystery symbols, which are added to the grid randomly.
‘Battle Wilds’ will be activated via reels five and six and these have the ability to expand and cover three icons that appear on the same row that they show up on. They can also substitute for all regular icons on the paytable, again, except for the Scatter.
As can be seen, the reels can be linked and this is the aptly named ‘Linked Reels’ feature.
Free Spins
However, the Conan bonus features do not end there as there is also the ability to activate the ‘Three Free Spins’ feature. When three or more of the game’s Scatters appear on the playing grid, this game will be triggered. Either 10, 15, 25 or 50 free spins will be awarded, depending on how many of the Scatters appear and players will be helped as the ‘Linked Reels’ feature will remain active.
Three features
- City of Thieves – This will see Tower Wilds have the potential to appear on all reels and expand in any direction. They have the power to cover a portion of a reel, or the whole reel.
- Temple of the Serpent – This feature will see mystery symbols and stacked mystery icons be able to activate the ‘Mystery Multiplier’ feature. If between five and nine mystery symbols are landed on, then players will trigger the ‘Thoth Amon’ feature as well.
- Walls of Tarantia – Players will see ‘Battle Wilds’ appearing on all reels and have the ability to expand in three positions on the same row.
RTP (return to player)
Our Conan review found that NetEnt have set a rather generous return to player (RTP) rate of 96.28% for their slot game.
