The first thing that players will notice when they play NetEnt’s Wild Worlds slot game is that it is anything but traditional.
Indeed, one of the best slot game developers to have ever existed in the industry have provided players with something rather unique and follows three heroes as they look to stop a number of monsters from destroying the world.
Gameplay
Wild Worlds features a playing grid of five reels and five rows that follows a cascading reels format. For players unaware, this particular format offers individuals the chance to pick up a number of wins from one spin as winning combinations are destroyed once formed and are replaced with a number of new icons in the hope that more sequences can appear.
Spins can take place from €0.20 on each go, or they can be worth anywhere up to €400 for those that like to use bigger sums of money on their gameplay experience. Those that want to test it out can play the Wild Worlds Free Play version that is found above.
Looking at the paytable, there are six different icons that are available. These consist of a number of different coloured gems that all match up with their respective hero and play significant roles which will be explained further below.
The green gems with the feather, the pink gems with the thunderbolt and the blue gems with the hair quiff are worth the least when a combination is formed, although the gold-ornamented gems of the same colours are worth more as each has a shadow of the hero they match-up with.
The black icon that can be found on the paytable – that includes a crown – and the Wild are the most rewarding symbols available in the game. The ‘S’ icon is the Wild World’s slot game Scatter and this will trigger the free spins game.
Feature Bonuses
The first – in a long line – of the Wild Worlds bonuses available in this game is the ‘Random Destroy’ feature that can be triggered on a losing spin. One of the three heroes will be selected at random and they will protect their icons. All of the others will be destroyed and replaced – except for the Wilds and Scatters.
The ‘Hero Wilds’ feature is triggered when one or more winning combinations of the icons with the heroes’ shadows are formed. This will see the combination explode whilst matching icons will be turned into Wilds.
As mentioned, above the ‘Free Spins’ feature is triggered when three or more Scatters appear. Players receive eight free spins and will head to one of three different worlds that they can visit – the Dark Forest, the Ice World or the Fire Lands.
By defeating each monster that lives in each realm, players will be able to pick up some big rewards. Players will see a wheel spin that will select the world to be visited.
Wilds
The Dark Forest has Spreading Wilds, which will see them turn random positions on the reels when the Wild is awarded after beating the monster. The Ice World will provide Heavy Wilds, which sees one or two stacks of Wilds placed on random positions on the reels, whereas the Fire Lands will see Random Wilds be awarded and these will turn two to four icons on the grid into Wilds.
Once they know which realm they are heading to, players will then enter a battle with the corresponding monster, with both having been provided with a health meter.
Defeat the monster, a battle with the boss will await them. To defeat the monster, though, they will need to form a number of winning combinations. They can also use the ‘Hero Attack’ and ‘Hero Super Attack’ features to help them. These can be triggered when a certain number of combinations have been formed.
Each monster has 15 health points, although the boss of the slot game has a whopping 105. After each of the four monsters have been defeated, players will receive eight free spins but the game will end when these run out or if each of the three worlds have been defeated.
RTP (return to player)
